Welcome and congratulations for your bike!
"Middle" of Norway describes a pretty vast area!  ::)
Anyway,...shall we meet in Vraadal?

Hi
New member of this group from "middle" of Norway. Has been driving my big white Varadero from 2015. Present in store for winter until late april I guess. Up here we don't drive a nice bike during winter (to much ice and snow..). Done 61000km on it sins 2015. Fit my long body good and even better after some small tweaks  VCIF_salut

I am 177 cm tall (5'10"?).
My stock FI Varadero was ok for me. I could see above the screen but the air was sent to my helmet.

I would go for something taller, like my present AfricaTwin. More sensitive to wind, but you can ride with your helmet visor open. Also, when relaxed, you see the road through the bike screen, so you'd better keep it clean (unlike me)

Did the windscreen change when the bikes went Fuel Injection?  If so, that simplifies my choices.  I'm 5'11", and I intend to ride the tires off this thing.

Quote from: barrysuperhawk on March 19, 2025, 18:25:43So now I am in the market for a windscreen.  I have found some on eBay in Poland, are those ok?  Also, opinions on stock, touring or extra tall?

AND did the windscreens change at all during the run?  One of the eBay listings above lists 03-11, which makes me wonder...

The top and bottom ones are for the FI version that followed the carb version that you have.

"stock, touring or extra tall?" - What are you going to use the bike for ?

Great news "I have the bike"
Not so great news, the shipper broke the windscreen:

That is one possibility, but it seems to have a speedo in miles, and I I thought all the Canuck bikes were in KM/h

Imported from Canada Or ???.

Nice!
At first glance, I can see a few mods. Handguards, crashbars, seat...
And may be a lowered front? (this could be not be the case)

Sure you'll enjoy riding her!

I guess a bit more explanation might be in order.  I've had a 1999 Superhawk since it was new.  I love the motor, I love everything about it except any kind of distance is pure torture, especially since I am not getting any younger.  So, pretty much since I found out they were making an adventure bike with mostly the same motor, I wanted one, and was mightily dissapointed that it was available everywhere but here. Then I found this:
