After 15k KM I need to replace my front tyre, rear has some 30% left. This is the first bike and the first tyre that went through a front before the rear. I do mostly motorway and city riding commuting to work. I am still very pleased with its performance and the mileage I got out of it.
I may go for a PR4T though, its just 10 quid more and Michelin OKs the mix with a rear Anakee3. I am thinking if the 10% off road ability helps me when I find dirt and gravel spilled by a building site works lorry on the road....

Update:
Anakee 3's at just over 15k km
Time for the new set to go on. Even so, last weekend, riding in the wet was no problem
- Tyres still good after 15k ...could probably stretch another 1-2k with them
- Front wears faster than the Rear ...a first for me!
- None of the strange lumps that the Anakee 2 develops with age (and TKC 80's)
- The Front centre is noticeably "harder" than the sides ...but I didn't any issues when turning into a corner
- The Rear has squared off but again, I didn't really feel any issues ....more rubber in contact for those fast getaways!
See the photos for the profiles. You can see the tread-ware indicator is now smooth

I've checked the tyres of many bikes during vcim Geiranger. Lots of bikes were on Anakee 3 and the owners were all very happy with them. So my new set of tyres may well be A3!

I'll see how the PRtrail3 s perform and report back. But that's impressive information from many sources.

Interesting Jasper, they do not look too bad at all, incredible squaring on the back one thought, lots of straight line driving
Unfortunately there are lots of straight roads and fast curves. The tight twisties are very good ...when you can find them.
So far, no one has commented on the "whiskers" still present on the outside edges
...but then again, the bike would probably be laying down to scrub them off
I'm pleased to hear lots of good reports for these tyres. As I said, although still good I swapped them out a little early --> preparations for my July road trip (Oregon Coast)
O.T. ...I just found a
#93 sticker to put on the bike (Clue = MotoGp) ...now there's a guy who's always on the edge

The idiots over here, including many journalists call those Whiskers 'Sissy stripes' and sometimes remove them artificially. If they were to take note of the efforts of 'proper' racers to keep the bike upright, they might forget about it and make safer, more relaxed and generally 'better' riders.

PS..Confession. I fell over again today in a car park. Good news. It was on the already damaged side! Bad news. took some paint off the crash bars.
Broke rider's footrest. Priced Honda new spare...Hahahahahaha! They are obviously designed to break off, so I got a 2nd hand one and ordered a pair of 'pattern' ones to take on holiday.

JK...don't feel bad. Today I went out to test the new tyres and all the other bits I've done ...no, I didn't drop her, but when I got home, took my glasses off, helmet off , dropped glasses on floor and promptly stood on them with my great big boots ...and yes, they are titanium frames, super coated, chromatic lenses (or whatever they're called) ...should've stayed in watched Coronation Street!
Back on topic (almost) ....I've always called them Chicken Strips

Yo!
Just wanted to add my pictures of my rear Anakee 3 after nearly 20000 Km. Yes, you see right, twenty thousand Kilometres and I still have 4mm in the centre!
No, I don't doodle along at 40mph on the motorway.
Yes, I do corners.
Yes, its 90% motorway (M4 between Reading and London)
Yes, I am smooth and got advanced training :-)
Yes, I will (eventually) get another A3.
Love this tyre and it can do more then I can for sure (means I never missed any grip).

What does the front look like?
What pressures do you run at?
Is it the "V" rated tyre?
I'm on my 2nd set of Anakee 3

Hi,
I threw out the front tyre 3000Km ago, it looked pretty much like yours.
After nearly 22000km I just bought a replacement rear, although I still have plenty of threat left, I turned much more square recently, which confirms what I read in other forums that tyres remain good for some time but then collapse in performance very suddenly.
I noticed that when for the first time ever, when pulling away from my home (side) road into a major road, accelerating out and turning right, it did slide away. I believe that is because the contact patch when leaning over has become very narrow, not something I want to live with. I certainly got my money out of that tyre and it has so much rubber on it that once it even had a stone buried into it without leading to a puncture.

Sorry forgot, its a V rated tyre. Just want to add that it did slide in wet conditions, in the dry it remains stable but I expect 1000% wet weather performance from a tyre (and ride like it had 50%).

I have a set on for almost 8000 miles, delighted with them. Have found that the front wears faster than the rear. I did increase my rear, like others, to 41psi. Will be ordering another pair very soon
