The parts guy wanted to sell me H rated tires (speed rating) but I think original equipment was a V-rated I pushed for getting the V-rated and he hesitantly obliged. Would this community agree with me or does it not matter?
The owners manual states "H" rated.
Oh shoot.... I have already put the deposit down, Thanks though SB
I have changed from PR4 to Anakee 3. I must say I am happy with minor mishaps.
Anakee 3 is noisy, it makes vibration on low speed and it needs to be "warm" to work.
Anyway, with my way of riding PR4 is too soft on sides, I guess 500+ kg is too much for it...
...third set of Anakee 3 just delivered. Still running the second set but front tyre is down to the wear indicators and the rear is not far off. Can't remember the kilometers (>15k) but will let you know that when I change them...
Unfortunately no big trips this year due to house renovations....
I have the big girl's tire's off now, putting my new tires on tonight. I cant wait to try my new A3 out, I think its going to feel like a new bike.
Big allroad tyre test in Motorrad... both Anakee III (last place!) and Trail Attack II failed. New Pirelli is on the lead - but aspect of mileage, price, dureability will be issued in the next edition.

Hi Bernard - do you have a link to that review? Would be interesting to read. I am thinking of putting on TKC70's on my CT next but have received mixed feedback on these. I like my RP3's but they are soft on the sides and the front wheel slides off tarmac rather easily.
Zebulon, please don't move my posts. My comment was correctly placed in context of the pr4 discussion.
The only problem is people begin a discussion on an other subject; and I try to think when in the future we (somebody) try to find reliable information ...
You still have TCK70 posts above ...

I'm going to fit a pair of TKC70's next. Will be interesting to see how these suite the CT and my style of riding?
Well, this hasn't nothing to do with PR4T or Anakee..

I am still on two wheels
Not anymore
I had rear wheel slide on slippery hairpin at speed of 30 kmh
Nothing to do with the tire though, the tarmac was "crying" the oil out of it at air temp 41 Celsius, who knows how hot was the "black" stuff itself.
Here you see two wheels sliding before peg hit the ground and amazingly just after peg the brake pedal hit the ground too
2500km on A3 tires on everything but snow and mud. I'm enjoying the tires a lot, feel very good on the curves and smooth on the strait road. I had to ride for about 6 hours in pretty hard rain and the A3 did everything I wanted. I even got stuck in 140km wind, rain and hail and I was able to make it under a bridge to hide out.
