Just looking at a Varadero for a 7500km ride that will involve 1500km of gravel shale roads.
Looks like this could be the bike for the job.
Varadero is not the easiest on gravel, (sure AT is much better) but surely it can make the job (need big arms
)
Welcome to the family !
Hi,
Welcome and I agree Zeb about Vara in gravel...
As Roy "Damm" Mercer would say :
How big a boy are you?
It's a big bike but I used mine to travel on mostly gravel from Calgary to Southern California without issue (around 8,000 kilometres). I did it on Michelin Pilot Road Trail tires (not even remotely knobby) and it was fine as long as you weren't pushing too hard or on anything more than groomed trails/forestry roads. The range was excellent, so you never had to worry about gas.
