Thank you for this report Superfunkomatic waiting for your advice David mounted on the @T, but we not have here so much gravel roads, so never can do a 50/50 travel ...
Assuming I can get these in NZ, I will be mounting them in September on the rear of my AT. I will be riding my bike to Auckland and back and after that ride I will need to replace my rear tire. I like the TKC 70, but I am interested to see if I can get more purchase on a wider range of gravel surfaces with the Avon Trekrider. I intend to leave the TKC 70 on the front of my bike.
I still have the 70's on my bike. getting close to replacing my rear tire. I haven't decided what I will put on, but may yet do the Avon.
As I do more & more off-road, it is the question for me too; but I ride a lot 2 with luggages ... TKC is perfect, but if we can have much off-road capability with nice road confort and security; it can be also good !
I'm about to push go on a new rear tire, if I can get these in NZ I'm going to fit one to the rear. I'll let you know how I go (I'll start a tire thread in the AT forum since this will be on an AT)

I will have a look for next ones
last information I had was "Requires to be very hot for a maximum adhesion on the dry, blur on the supported braking (dry road) and thus remains perfectible on the wet" ... what are your impressions Jyrki ?
Recently I ride slow (as you do also
) and I have had no problems on dry or wet.
But knobby tires are never as good on tarmac as road tires for sure.
I get ovet 10k km, front a bit noisy, and in general I am happy with them.
