I would worry more about the strict rules on having fixed speed cameras as POI in your satnav, where it doesn't matter if the option is switched on- or off. Fine = 1.500€ and your satnav is impounded.
WRONG !!! I've said much time here, you can have POI's on your Sat nav! No body have right to see your property, only a judge can ask...
Very strict rules in French for the motorcyclists and i cant understand the reason.
For your security of course !
for most of them not different from motorist.

I remember laughing when, years ago, I started to read in France signs "pour vôtre securité, contrôle radar...".
These damn f*cking things have since spread around my hometown.
Have cost me some EUR sometimes, which I assume are for my security's sake
Josep
Police in our country proudly announces every year to have "earned" millions of euro's in the name of "security".
<Professional fire-officer mode on:>
Nobody has ever prooved to me that there is ANY relation between the yearly number of speed-fines and the reduction of incidents with casualties. Which is actually what this 'security' should be all about.
<professional fire officer mode off>
Jos: lets ride together...
They all get round the trough in Bruxelles and if it makes money they all take the idea home with them. Our boy is itching for a high speed train even though we are bankrupt and can't run the low speed trains cost effectively!
JK
PS Madero. Glad to see you are still a Fire Officer; all our mob became fire Fighters, like the Americans and there's no living with them now.
For those who want (need) such POI database; feel free to find
here.
The motorist, whether it be the car driver (me) , the biker (me) or the HGV driver (me) is a very easy income generator. Look how many tests you have to take now to ride a big bike, then the car tests and don't get me started on the "teaching your granny to suck eggs" carry on the EU beauraucrats imposed on us , the all money sucking CPC. I'm away for a drink of RED.
I paid plenty of them (with car only)
Now I use WAZE ın my phone...
With a little search you can find a lot of phone application with communities telling in real time what " problems " are on the road ... I'm using " wikango" a free one you have the serious Michelin "navigation" and some you have to pay as "coyote" ...
Ask if needed
I was coming from Slovenia, 170 on cruise control after Metz... and blue lights
Use a garmin navigator. You can purchase a little helper (updated if there are changes) for 25 Euros/year and the stationary problems are solved.
Use a TomTom Rider. You can simply disable functions temperarely which could causs problems in some countries.
For those who use Tomtom :
hereAs said yes you use at your own risk
