A little warning
Try to avoid 55Wx2. Alternator and stator on the MK1 models had shown tendency to give up due to workingload. Heard about two cases that they had given up. Both had foglights H3 55W x 2 installed.
MK1 provides 315W to charge battery, Heated grips, Lights and all extra that is using the 12V system.
MK2 and MK3 has an alternator giving 430W but that is also needed for giving the ABS requiered power.
LED lamps only using 2x10 W and that is huge difference compared to H3 that needs 110W
There are also 35W H3 replacement bulbs available. Not as efficient as LED, but it may help avoiding overloading the alternator...
or..
replace H4 to H4 Leds
I Just buy many 20w cree led lamp series.. I think put one to Varadero, just for test
"fog or extra higm beam" . I will put some photos here when project is ready!
I'm not sure thoose H4 Led bulb's.. Here Nordic weather is one reason.
There are so many different quality led's bulbs. i dont wanna miss headlights at night..
So i think xenon or classic bulb's is best for varadero
I have sale here Finland many years ledbulb's and all so test some of them whit varadero.
Xenons are terrible! I've never driven with them but I've been dazzled and blinded by them too many times. I'm sure the 'premium' marques only used them to show off.
Sorry. Pertinent rant.

PS Cardinal rule for bikers..Don't dazzle oncoming traffic; they might just run you over.

I use xenons with my 2 last Dero. I can confirm, it is terrible
very nice confort on riding by night.
not sure if others had similar experiences but I had fitted some 55w lights and they were eating my batteries alive......I am waiting for my new steed but I will go down the route of LED, I hope that will make a difference...?

I also agree with the above post . I assume that Xenon lights are not appropriate for use by motorbikes , Xenons are suitable for car use ONLY .If you dont like the lights that are fitted by Honda ,you can choose the white light that the new OSRAM lamp offers and ofcourse those lights are suitable for motorcycles.
I have ajusted not to avoid dazzling other users, even two on the bike and loaded
I use the Philips X-tremeVision H4 55/60 Watt bulbs. Clear white light with significant better light than a standard set of H4 light bulbs.

I can confirm that also my friend.Value for money this option .
I have test thoose Phillips x-tremevision H4 bulbs and low beam lights broken wery fast.. at one season (4-5months) and under 10.000km. Normal ??
That's true that "xenon look" is very terrible at varadero
I just installed a set of PIAA night tech H4 bulbs and they are a big improvement over the factory head lights. When I can afford them, I will install the denalli D2 lights as they seam to be a good light.
Thanks and safe riding
