Just another week and I'll be leaving home for my Scandinavia-tour! Fully packed with complete camping gear and my flyfishing rods I will visit a number of beautiful places in Sweden. In relation to my plans published earlier I have changed my route a little bit and will stay in Sweden most of the time. I'll visit South-West Norway next year during the VIM in Geiranger
This year I will visit Vallo Camping (Koge/DK), Camping Tived (Tiveden/S), Angra Fiskamp (Karbole/S), Kallsedets Camping (Jarpen/S), Ammarnas Wardshus (Ammarnas/S), Koppang Camping (Koppang/N), Hedesunda Camping (Hedesunda/S), Friends (Regstrup/DK). Total distance will be around 5500 km. and including some local trips end up somewhere between 6000-7000 kms. I really look forward to this tour and will try to post some info/pics on this forum during my trip!
Regards
Madero
As my mother would say, take some warm underwear. Have fun!

They had 30+ Celsius whillst our B*lls froze off in the UK and Ireland...
Looks like a nice roadbook, Jos! Have fun... I guess we can read the travel report both here and in the Dutch Club's magazine?
PS... consider to plan your route more West... You are missing all the fun now (Geiranger, Trollstiggen, Bergen, Dalsnibba snowroad, R13 heading south to Stavanger, etc)
@Jess : thanks for the advice! You never know with those "summers" nowadays
@bernard : I'll keep a more western route for next year in combination with vim at Geiranger. And yes, i'll try to write a story for this forum and our Dutch tcn-magazine!
Have fun, Jos! But I am most certain that you will!
What I can see from your map, you will take the bridge both ways. You have also a cheap and short ferry from Helsingborg to Helsingör. Takes only about 25 minutes and you dont even need to bind the bike.
Arriving Helsingör, don´t follow the others on the first roundabot, take the next exit and follow the coastline up to Copenhagen. Do not get into Copenhagen if it´s a hot day, turn out to the mainroad before.
Weater changes all the time and warm clothes with you is a must. Also if you get to the higher ground and it´s raining, then it´s getting cold. Don´t forget the hands, freezing hands are the start for all.......
Otherwwise it´s not cold weather now. I came home yesterday from visiting among others, Berlevåg wich is in the northest point at northeast of Norway. Under my motorcyclegear I had only a t-shirt.....
Have a nice trip and....you have done a nice roadchoose with the next year in mind......
Thanks for your reply Saarela!
Yes, I will take warm clothing with me. At this moment the weather in Boden is much better than here in the Netherlands ( 16C here) ! Thanks for your ferry advice too! I may do that on the way home. Like to cross the Oresundbro at least once on my bike. Will be very impressive! (I own a bropas, only €9,= for a bike to cross).
Really looking forward to ride through your beautiful country!
Regards
Jos
Nice tour!
On your way back home, if you happen to cross a dark Peugeot 5008
with Spanish plate
, that might be me
Regards,
Josep
Looking forward to your experiences and knowledge to share with those planning to visit next year.
Have a great trip to a great Country-Enjoy.
Thanks a lot folks!
The only thing that can now ruin my trip is the weather. Just heard on the radio that, here in the netherlands, june 2013 will be the sixth consecutive month that's far too cold! Has not hapenned since 34 years! Chilly wind, rain and only 14C over here now! Been walking the dog wearing my wintercoat! Wtf! It's midsummer!
They say it will get better after this weekend.
Since I don't fancy riding the whole day in the rain I may delay my departure for one or two days.

Good news for the Elfstedentocht !
I'm in beautiful Sweden at this moment. Had a magnificant tour yesterday: wonderful maintained roads that wind endlessly through the forests. Fabulous lakevies and lovely weather too! Love it!
Well I know what area you are living in(people live on each other) so stop and lissen to the silence is never wrong
Looking great and.......have a nice trip and good luck with the fishing.....
