Hi guys,
We have now moved to Canada from Portugal.
I no longer have the Vara... Not allowed to import it into Canada
Once we are settled another Cross/Tourer bike will soon follow
Good luck with the new forum!

Sooke, BC, Canada!
Welcome to Canada! If you look at a website called
www.kijiji.com I think there's even a couple Varaderos for sale there, lots of great riding on the Island. Went to school in Comox and still have a bunch of friends there.
Cheers,
Rick
Hi and welcome at the Varadero & Crosstourer International Community! Great to have another 'founding member' of our community back online here as well, James!
Huggs to Gina. And don't worry... the Varadero IS afterall, available in Canada!
Cheers for the responses
Good to see the Vara community still thriving and moving with then times
Thanks Trex. Yep! I am aware of kijiji.com Cheers
Bernard.... Great to be back with the community again
It's been a busy period for Gina and I of late that's for sure. You can be sure that you will be hearing from me more often... when I get back on two wheels!
In the meantime my 2003 MK1 Vara has gone to a good home. My friend bought it from me in Portugal and will be on the EU roads for sure! He restores old bikes and will keep the Vara going as long as he rides bikes!!
By the way.... the battery finally had to be replaced.... the original only lasted 10 years
And..... a BIG Hi! to all those that know me from the earlier International Varadero Forum.
Yes, welcome to the West Coast. Hope you soon get some wheels.
My wife keeps telling me I have to retire to Sooke ...but I keep spending the money on other things
Hah! Thanks for the welcome. How's the Vara behaving?
