Hello friends,
my mate Carles, who now owns my old Varadero, told me to go a day off with our bikes.
This day was finally last Saturday, and we decided to visit the area around the last km of the Ebre river within Aragon, just before it enters the S tip of Catalonia.
I hope you will like these pics.
We started by visiting again the
Mausoleu of FavaraSince the end of last century, there's no longer peach trees, but a fence around it
Our bikes next to the Ermita de les Dues Aigües, in

, present and former. This part of the river is known as "Mar de Aragon" (Aragon Sea), a 110 km long lake caused by the Mequinensa Dam.
The tip of the so-called "herradura de Caspe" (Caspe's horseshoe), a 7.5 km long peninsula in the Ebro river. My mate loves taking pictures.

I couldn't help trying a short off road diversion
Ermita de Montler. Nice views from it.
Salada (small salty lake) de Guallar, between Sástago and Bujaraloz.
Partial view of the largest "salada" of the area, where in older times salt was obtained.
And that's all. A highly recommendable area (not in summer!), with plenty of twisty and straight roads, and little to none traffic!
Greetings,
Josep
