We plan to go to Venise (the last time was 30 years ago -1000 km/day without highway...).
And then we surely go to visit Slovenia: so any info will be appreciate (nice roads, nice hotel biker price); then; if every thing is in order (Slovenia seems to be very small) we go to Croatia (Split or Dubrovnik) to come back to Italy by Ferry via Ancona. Perhaps an incursion to Mostar (Bosnia)
So every information from your trips or from people are living there are appreciated !
Thx a lot in advance.
I have visited Slovenia in 2008 on my way from the Int. Transalp Treffen in Greece, to VIM10 in Hungary and the country is simply STUNNING. Its so clean and beautiful, kind people, good infrastructure, Alpine mountainpasses, everything you need for an excellent motorcycle holiday!
Have to google where we have been staying, but if you are fond of wine (and I am sure you are, Gilles!) you simply have to include the wine area around Jerusalem in your travel schedule. Its just a little village (2 or 3 farms...
) but its the hart of the Slovenian wine industry. The Gave on top of the Jerusalem hill is also an excellent hotel and restaurant!
Its called... Hotel Jerusalem!

For those who have used; what is the best website to reserve a ferry; we probably come back from Croatia (or Montenegro
) by ferry to Ancona....
It seems it is no more possible to go to Ancona from Bar (Montenegro) and montenegrolines are nightmare !!! so we have to go back to Split

You are absolutely right Zebulon ,the local ferry lines in Montenegro are not so reliable . I assume the most safe way is to return by motorbike . Looking forward to read your report and see your photos as soon as you come back, im sending you my best wishes for a troublefree and enjoyable tour .
