My opinion:
Kris,
of course yes.
You have given in one of your last posts a good reason - you ordered a professional disigner - so you are the winner
.
Such an effort must be rewarded.

From my opinion, yes!
In fact last year Ole and I had the same thoughts internally, but ended up following the tradition. Our arguments was that as the organizers arrange everything else about the meeting, why should others then deside the logo. And it's the organizers who knows their country, area and attractions best and therefore could design the logo from that, deciding what should be on the logo and what should not. Another argument was that as it's the organizers who'll have the dialog with the supplier, it would be easier to make the design directly from their criteria; what could be done, and what could not. And fact is, that when the logo was chosen, we had to contact the winner for some changes we had to do in the text, as we couldn't just change it without his permission. Not a problem, but it did delay things a bit and make it a bit more complicated. So, I strongly support the idea.
But Krystof, remember that as the winner of the competition, your prize is free attendance fee at the meeting
Kris can you share the VIM#22 logo to be add in the
