Not sure you can compare a 1100 @T with a 800 Tiger Reynald ! compare with the 1200 T (from 16 100€/18 300CHF) & in the future you can compare the new T@ with 800 ... or 900 wich is from 13 400€/ 13900CHF !!! please do not compare either prices from Adventure 20 (with options) with AT 16 ...
You cannot compare CRF 1000 & 1100; very different bikes even if they look alike ... more displacement, more power, more torque, more equipment, better finish ... something different. and no the dashboard is not so complicate; have to ride some days to understand , but after run-in time everything is understood and under control .
Hope to meet you !
I understand your point, but for me it's not all about displacement, it's about what the motorcycle is capable
and equiped to do with reasonable power, but especially now I want lighter weight.
Long distance riding is amazingly easy with the Tiger because it's light (215kg), still 95hp is closer to 105hp
(1100) than the 140hp of the T1200 and being lighter i do not miss more power.
I get more Equipment even on a T800 for cheaper than a normal 1100, even better with T900, hence the ATAS
comparison for Equipment needs.
Anything else from Triumph, Yamaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, is cheaper, to put it simply the new normal AT against
my older one increased 22%, I really did not see the better finish, if this is only for 100cc and IMU, I find this
very difficult to swallow, that's how I see it and unfortunately my Honda dealer offered me a worse cashback
than Triumph.
BTW I absolutely dislike the T900 design, find it ugly, that's why I did not really want one, but they are extremely
well priced Triumph, even the 950 multistrada is more affodable than Hondas.
Sorry I'm not here to dislike the 1100, it's obviously a great machine and I'm happy if you have fun with yours,
just wanted to give me experience, that Honda pushed me out of their brand services are more expensive than
Triumph, on top of higher original pricees, so with my 30'000+ KM per year easy choice.
I also Wonder if I'll ever buy a Euro 5 or further (6, 7, 8...), with higher CC consuming more and more fuel, so
paying more and throttle control feels worse with every new model and that's for all brands, I understand the
need of lowering the emissions, but using 5-10% more fuel every new norm is kind counter balancing this.
