We use here " kilometrage " but we don't speak English !
Excellent. I hope you get a long mileage/kilometrage out of them
.
I have bad experiences with Anakee II and III
Well, I haven´t. I´ve done 131500 km on Anakee II now, and they´ve never let me down, neither in dry nor wet conditions
. And it´s not because I don´t challenges them, it´s the only tires ever that I´ve worn the knobs on the edges away...
I hope you get a long mileage/kilometrage out of them .
131500 km on 6 pairs, means an average of 21916,67 km/pair, the pair with the highest xxxxx-age did 25340 km
I much prefer II over III's.
I´ve heard that from others too, MrKiwi. But I´ve never tried the III myself, as I´m very happy with the II
To get back on the right track again, here´s a picture of my new tires that arrived today. So now I know what to do in the weekend
Hi,
On the sticker of these tires I can see TL / TT references (meaning as far as I know, tubeless and tube type, respectively). Does anyone know if these same tires are compatible with both types of use?
Regards,
That´s correct, TL = TubeLess, TT = Tube Type, and yes, these tires are indeed intended for use both with or without a tube, as many of Michelin´s tires are.
And many of the continental too
Got the rear tire replaced today and checked and cleaned the rear brake too. Replaced the two bearings in the wheel too, but not the one in the sprocket flange, as experience tells me that this bearing last much longer than the two others.
There was no sign of wear in the bearings, but as they had done 67000 km now and the originally mounted smashed at 78500 km, I thought that I´d rather replace them now when the wheel was dismounted anyway. It´s quite easy and the bearings doesn´t cost that much (and I had them in stock
).
Got the wheel back in place and made me a cup of workshop-coffee on one of my old Primuses (or, in fact it is a Radius, same same, but different
):
Afterwards I dismounted the front wheel and replaced the tire. The bearings in the front wheel has never been replaced so I wanted to do that too, but as I had only got two of those bearings in stock and it´s the same as one of the rear wheel bearings, I only had one left now
So now it´ll have to wait until Monday when I can get another one, in the meantime, tomorrow I´ll check and clean the front brakes so everything is ready to mount when I get the bearing
