Rainer aka meine dicke
PS: My reasons to take that route are
- go via RN 85 to GAP, been there (Sisteron) often for gliding
- go the last part of ROUTE DES GRANDES ALPES from Barcelonette to Mediterranean Sea, with alternates due to snow
- go through MONACO
- go through the CAMARQUE
- see again SÊTE
- see again CARCASONNE or take the short way through Gorges de Galamus
- go to LOURDES
- go to SAN SEBASTIAN
- go to GERNIKA
- see the Dune de Pilat
- go to LA ROCHELLE see the bunkers and the susspension bridge nearby
- go along the river LOIRE (castle sightseeing) as long as possible eastern

easier with the map in the post -Zeb>
It's fine, to be retiered.
My route will be something like this, going home is depending on which I can follow north
For those who choose Mediterranean cost, notice it it is not the great part between Montpellier and Perpignan (can be very windy -as in Danmark
) and flat (as in Danmark
) ... Better ways northern, by
Cévennes,Montagne noire, corbières etc ... IMO . surely depending on time you have and what you want to see .
It is all coming together
Outbound Ferry Booked
Plymouth-/-Santander

Starting to plan the route
BD
Carcassonne is beautifull!
And close to the geriatric paradise of Jess and Theresa.
Ferries are booked.
Gothenburg - Kiel on the way down 5th May.
Kiel - Oslo on our way back home 5th June
These are our planned routes.
Surely not the most exiting roads, but the routes include lots of family visits.
Of course we'll avoid motorways as far as we can.
Any suggestions?
Southbound
Northbound
Nothing fixed yet. Most likely we'll try to ride to Andorra more or less direct via Paris (not the French motorway, but route national).
I am keen to visit the Picos de Europa and Spain's most northwestern point, to follow the coast back to France.
In France, heading north along the Atlantic, keen on visiting the Carnac megaliths alignment in Brittany and Mt St Michel.
for those who want to ride along the west coast of France
passage du gois can be a nice place to see... If you want to ride on you have to see the
tide hours
