Looking at this category and no where it is presented where the actual VCIM is? No route how to get there and no co-ordinates how to reach the destination.
Just typing the name of the meetingpoint can get you in the GPS to a whole different part of France since many citynames are shared and you don't know the the departments of France. Everybody seems to know because the knowhow where the actual bridge is located.
Tried to do a logo about this event, but was corrected due to I didn't know the actual meeting point. Isn't this mandatory for the event to tell where it is?
It is a minor concern but if I held a meeting in Sweden and I told everybody to get north to the arctic circle with no directions..
Just missing the info in the stickies..
I had to visit this thread and as reply 17 I get the actual meeting point.

Think I've proposed a logo with the bridge...
Don't worry, participants have precise informations.
It's less difficult to drive in France then in Norway
and seems everybody knows one of the many roads possible to come to vcim. And you've seen, no answer by French people;D
due to I didn't know the actual meeting point
think you were in Geranger; so you've seen the presentation video; you have these informations in the very first seconds ...
Saw that presentation. Didn't remember the exact location. When I was up to make a logo I had 4 different names of the village or those were perhaps neighbour villages. Didn't have a clue, just comfusing.
Started to plan my journey in september before I knew that I couldn't participate. Was not sure where the end point was. This extra important because in France and not speaking french is absolutly good to know how the village name is pronounced and what to type in to the GPS. Just a valid information that could be repeated. An expression is to better say it twice than not.
Look at the Geiranger threads. There was actually VCIM participants actually thought they had to go on tractor paths to get to Geiranger if they choose the straightest way. Standard of roads were to many a happy surprize, even the small ones.

Sorry for that Magnus; I've tried google + google maps giving only 1 answer + base camp giving a second one (not really a village) near Lac du bourget not far from Alps... You have then to add some letters to find more answer, as : Nant
es, Nant
erre, Nant
ua; so
And you have the right place till 20 August 2014
here Hope everybody have planned the right place !!!
Nantes is for me a city northwest of France
Understand Gilles. In a Forum like this, this info should be in the first posting of the event. Not hidden in the presentation as a #22 posting.
Information is vital.
When making a presentation of an event. 4 questions should be answered.
Where, When, Why and What.

Magnus ; meeting presentation have been done on 7 june 2014 in Geiranger; since this date, video presentation is available for everybody on
and
(14 june)...
When is indicated at the
first secondWhere from
5th to 13th seconds
What at the 9th second
And
why, because we have decided it 3 years ago (do you remember, you were there
); because it is a wonderful area
, and because it is a nice playing place for motorbiking
...
Seems nobody who comes have any problem with that ...
Nant is not the same as Nantes
If a future VCIM is organised in America, where do you have to go?
Nant is not the same as Nantes
That's why no mistake possible with this year destination
IMO...
First I thought the rendezvoux was Montpellier, than the name Aveyron caught up and now Nant. Is not easy to know..
My dear Magnus, are you the secret latecomer?
No, not this time. Don't even got something to ride at.. Waiting for parts and a green offroad education.
@Skye: I don't understand what the fuzz is all about, especially since you are not attending VCIM17.
It was always clear to me that the location would be in the area around Millau, even before VCIM17 was confirmed!
And to find the correct place: Just enter Nant, France in Google maps and you know where not to go.
Thank you Menno, think every information have been done clearly and in time .
