I could ask the same with your number plates in Europe which I don't particularly like. Besides not having any choice, number plate shape and size is mandated by law, it is a matter of what you are used to.
Sunday was a short 190 km ride to Picton along the Queen Charlotte Drive route. It is a slow ride, with lots of sharp slow corners. I didn't stop to take pictures as there were not many places one can stop, it being a narrow road and the traffic was quite high.
why do not take pictures while riding ?
thank you again David !

...
I don't take videos nor do I have a set up that allows me to take photos while riding.
No need of special set up, just let go of the handlebars and take the camera

Not on tight twisting roads full of traffic. No thank you.
Thanks! So that was the reason we could not meet when I was in Auckland

Sorry yes. The trip had been planned for a little while.
Don't be sorry, I did not come to see you anyway
Gordon took good care of me.
Gordon is like that, he is a good host. Hope your trip was successful. I was in Auckland just before you arrived and again the day you left, such are the vagaries of my travel schedule at the moment.
Great photos. Stunning scenery again for your post. You should work for the New Zealand Tourism Board.
I'll have to come down there for an adventure one day.
Lovely photo's with a great trip report
