Hi All, hope I'm in the right area,
I've just replaced my fuel pump for a static one
https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F380369295080It says...
They are built to the same high-specification as the Facet 'Cube' pump and are a direct physical replacement for engines where the pump (SS502 / 40106) is already used.
Installed it and got the bike back together but I was a bit hasty taking the pipes off, so when I got it back together the pipe with the Y connector coming off the bottom of the carbs is dripping fuel when I start her up and I'm not sure where to stick it! Ooer, Amy info would be most appreciated...
Hello Charle, technical question in technical thread is the right place
As you might speak about SD01 VARA ...

waiting for it
Charle, have you used the SEARCH box in this forum? The fuel pump problem is unfortunately a known problem on the Varadero. Not only on the SD01 as Gilles says, but also on the SD02 (till year of manufacturing 2003). I noticed 'rover' in the link. On my SD01 I used a QH (Quinten Hazel Automotive) fuel pump which was originally designed for a Rover motorcar. That QH fuelpump was about 30 Euro's (we are talking a long time back, in the year 2000), the 17 Pound in your link looks very affordable if it fits.
Please notice that the Facet pumps have a proven reputation for good reliability!
