OK, it can be done on the road - you will only need sandpaper 1200 and BEER - but what kind, because I can't recognize?
I'm not sure about the sandpaper. A commutator may look dirty but will still work OK.
More likely to be the brushes sticking. Make sure they're free and give them a spray with cleaner.
Make sure all the cleaner has evaporated before reassembly.
how much time have you reinitialized your dct gearbox , Bruno ?
Our both DCT are about 40k, no problems with that so far.
Hi all,
With the sand-paper I 'removed' wear marks which were noticable en you could feel them pretty good.
I never used the dct-reinititialize procedure.
To my knowing it is nowhere written down you have to do this every xxx klms.
The bike runs fine now but I'm no longer confident in it.
It proved not reliable / not well manufactured. It spend several time at the dealer and it's my only means of transport so I got pretty annoyed with it.
Replaced spokes (garanty)
Had to change front brake discs
Replacing the hidden spark-plugs is no fun job
Leaking cylinderhead seal
While replacing the leaking seal they checked all other stuff => rubbers at all the spark-plugs were worn (weathered (?))
Right front brake stuck at the traffic lights, released itself after some pushing and didn't occur again (may-be I crashed that way???)
DCT fault, see concerning post
It's just enough, I have no longer confidence in the bike.
@ Jyrays: I sold it with 64100klms on the odo.
@Zebulon: the dealers I have visited were also scratching their head.
The brake issues are not common to find on the internet. Even I don’t know what triggers it.
But with the dct I’m not the only one as the video shows. The rubbers may occur on several bikes but as long as you don’t ask for a specific check it won’t be noticed.
As Jyrki says it was probably an AT made on a Monday morning or maybe even a Friday afternoon.
Or during the earthquake they had?
Did you park it outside?

No, always in a heated garage.
Maybe it was spoiled
