Anyone with experience with the new Tourances on the Dero?
Cheers!
I put on a set last fall - may-be 2000 km so far - all black-top. Ride well - no issues in wet (or cold)
Got aroun 8kkm out of a set which I thought was good (compared to 6k on Bridgestone), but I get 9-10kkm out of Anakee 2's, so they're my preference
That's loaded most of the time as I mainly use the bike for touring.
They are really good .Excellent choice.
Thanks for the replies and recommendations.
I bought a set and after about 600 kms now they are scrubbed in and I find I have much more confidence in my tires now, compared to the TW's. But this is a much more street biased tire, however my riding is about 99% blacktop anyways.
Good tires, no issues.
Cheers!
A tip regarding Tourance and punctures. If you do decide to plug a puncture, it will take some effort to get the plug between the metal bracing of the tyre. But you can be sure, once the plug is in, it will not come out.
I had two plugs in a tourance and they held untill the tyre was worn out.
Well, according to many,
anything is better than stock TrailWings.
What Tourances do you have? Normal or EXP?
Normal are liked by many, specially if rides are on bad condition tarmac or (occasionally) no tarmac at all.
In my opinion, there are better alternatives when one rides mostly on normal roads. For some reason, rear Tourances, from half worn on, seem to be the cause behind the very annoying wobbles I have experinced in the past (just like front Trail Attack I was to jollygreengiant IIRR).
EXP Tourances are much more road biased, and I had to complain about the one I tested, except that I felt somewhat better with an Anakee or a BattleWing, both of which lasted about the same or more.
Greetings,
Josep

Sorry, I hadn't paid enough attention.
Will you please tell us about your experience?
Josep

How on earth did you fit 2,04 cm tall guy into that tyre?

Hahahahaha, this one made my day!
My GS is on AnakeeII now and I'm very satisfied. Previous I had Tourance EXP, but when they were half worn they had some mean reaction in bad weather, espacially the rear tyre.
I have no experience with the Tourance Next though.
Now 8K Kms on them and they are performing very well indeed. Mixed city and highway, with rain....no problems.
They stick good, except for on those pesky tar snakes...
Ride safe!
Don't get to smart, Magnus... Or else this 2,04m Dutchy has take appropriate measures...
