Hi,
I'm not sure if this belongs here, (or where it would belong) but...
Today I was checking my papers from the varadero and noticed that the vin number was
VTMSD02C08*********
08 = build in 2008
But I thought that 2008 = SD03 model?
And this vin number says SD02?
Is this normal, or am I mistaken that post 2008 are SD03-models?
please enlighten me :-)

I had a Dero built in 2008.
It is/was a SD02.

My 2008 model is a SD02 too. I think that the SD03 model are the bikes from 2010? an onwards, which was build in Italy, the SD02 was build in Spain.
I´m sure Two Plugs can give the correct answer to this question
Not yet, have to check my bike next week. But I do know that mine isn't build in the Spanish Montesa factory, but in Italy.
Check done:
Mine is one of the last, Italian build in 2011 and put on licence in September 2012.
It says SD03B.
The Montesa build 'Spanish' MK2 (Marqué II) fuel injected Varadero's (from 2003) are indeed SD02.
