C and I decided to go for a ride around our mountain village.
At a certain moment I put the wheel on some leaves and we fell down at some 20 kmh.
She had minor bruises on her knee. I, in addition, had some on my arm.
But I too hit the groung with the side of my chest and it hurts when I change postures. I may go to have a radiigraphy.
This one has been not as serious as the ones I had 14 and 28 years ago, but unlike these it's been entirely my fault, and there was also my beloved wife involved.
This is a warning. I no longer have the riding aptitudes I used to, so from now on I must enjoy riding in a different way, at a lower lower speed.
Of course many other bikers have listened to this piece of wisdom before after experiences from others or their own. This has just been my time.

Safe and joyful rides to all,

Josep

Some ribs might be cracked. Good that you didn't have more speed. And you are both OK!

We had similar last year in Croatia due to melted tarmac. I had some bruises and U cracked her elbow :( Speed was below 40 (last captured speed in gps 38).

I was just wondering what protective gear were you wearing? Can you elaborate a bit. Thanks,

Thank you all for your interest and good wishes!  VCIF_ThumbUp
C is in her 24 hr duty, she's fine and her knee bruises are healing very well.
I am in this moment waiting to (probably) have my chest radiographed.
We wore no protective gear  :(
And the bike has some scratches and a broken gear shift pedal. But she brought us back home and has now briught me to hospital (I wanted no one of my family to bring me and car parks are utterly expensive and full).

Again thank you very much to all if you  VCIF_ok

From my experience it is the ego that hurts most. Just put it behind and move forward. Best wishes.

Sorry to hear about your accident, happy to hear that you two get away with minor dameges.

Sorry to hear about this.
We hope that you get well very soon, and that you always wear your protective gear even if it's getting very warm   VCIF_ThumbUp

By the way - I fully agree with Jack  ;)
See you in Italy ;)

Thank you all again for your comfort!
Yesterday I had my chest checked and it turns out that I have a half broken rib.

Yes, I know I should follow the wise ATGATT philosophy  ::) I've been warned about it three times.  :o but it is usually followed in full only by C in travels  :o
She says we must go for a ride ASAP, in order to break the "bad thoughts".  VCIF_ok
