Yep, it`s no suitable Iron Butt rallye bike but if you can adjust yourself. I don`t miss that aspect of the CT though, as the stock seat was hideous (swapped it for touratech). I find the angle of my legs on the AT much better. I`m 1.95 and I have the higher seat.

I currently ride a CT and I have ridden the AT. The thing I immediately noticed was the less bent knee for me on the AT. It was more comfortable.  I am 182 cm tall. (Just a smidgen under 6 foot).

I'm about 191 cm. I guess the best way of knowing is trying both bikes. My dealer has an AT as a demo but the CT is not for demo, only for sale. i have 98,000 km on my 2008 Varadero and I may just keep it a bit longer. It still works great. Thanks for your input.

I think you have more leg room on the Varadero compared to the CT.

My favorite bike for leg room was a 2001 BMuu 650 Dakar.  I owed  8 motorcycle and it was the most comfortable bike for me.
