Bought it around 6 months ago for ~€600 (7000 NOK) and it was in brutal shape. After getting new:
- Front wheel bearing
- Speed Sensor
- Tires
- Air Filter
and some more (Can't remember off the top of my head), it is now road-worthy.
I am looking forwards to fixing it up, restoring from the abuse from its previous owners, and enjoying the journey!
I'm mainly on the varadero forum, but I might hop on through here for some ADV advice, or once I get my A2 License (Will most likely get me an ADV for A2).
Ride Safe!

Last post by Terje - April 06, 2025, 09:40:17Hi. I live in Hardanger, Norway. 55yo, 197 cm tall. Bought my 2010 Varadero yesterday, a yellow XL1000VA, just broken in with 118.000 km on it. I have been riding since -97 and have been a Honda guy except from my last bike. Started in the mid 80s with a Honda MB-5 (50cc). From 97 until today; -86 VF1000FII, -86 VFR750F, -86 VF1000FII, -93 CBR1000F, -97 CBR1100XX, -04 BMuu R1200GS, and now the Varadero.

Edit: I just got a message from the seller asking me what color I wanted? And I have no idea what the answer is because I didn't know that there was a color choice for the windscreen LOL. So I guess one could say that maybe this isn't going the best...
Second edit: So, I bought the part using the ebay app on my phone, so it doesent automatically show the full description...so I didint know I was supposed to pick a color... Yep, I am an idiot...
