Any new news from Honda
« on: August 13, 2017, 07:52:52 »
Has anyone heard any whispers of new adventure modes from Honda recently. Seems Honda has gone quiet again?

No news, but the big international motorcycle shows are open this autumn (Northern Hemisphere, lol). Paris will be the first (17-21 October); it was the Paris show where the first XLV750R ('83) and the first Transalp ('86) where presented to the public. Another big and important show is EICMA in Milan, Italy, where Honda recently introduced its major news (amongst which the Africa Twin prototype). This show will be held from 9-12 November:

I'm on Honda's press list anyway, as soon as there is news interesting for our forum, I'll publish!  VCIF_ThumbUp

Yes I knew these were coming up, but I couldn't remember the dates.

Days are getting longer here, temperatures are starting to warm up a little, and news from Honda is something to look forward apart from a NZ summer (actually hoping to get a summer this year, last year's summer was awful, I had to come to Europe to get one ;D ).

As I know, no French show this year .... Certainly one in March 2018 and held in Le Bourget , not too far from Paris , but not intramural ...  VCIF_salut

Lol. And from now back to topic, gentleman.
Paris show for 2017 is announced on their own website, but most likely, all Honda news a d updates will be precented @ EICMA in Milano, upcomming November.

Well it has been an entertaining conversation  VCIF_a055 . Who knew inside or outside could be described so many different ways.

I've noted the various dates and websites so am following along. I'm suspecting Honda might announce some variations to the Africa Twin, maybe a long range version or maybe a smaller one?

I would guess a long range version, which has been announced by Honda, a few months ago. I share your curiosity but we have to wait till 'rumours' become real live bikes!   ;)

Not Honda, but personally I think the announced Tenere 700 from Yamaha is going to be an interesting concept in the adventure bike world!I am assuming that Honda would think of getting a smaller version of the Africa Twin (new Transalp?) on offer to compete; they have a perfect engine: the twin from the NC750(X).
