Rainer, would be nice to do the trip together.
Do you plan to take the ferry at Wischhafen/Glückstadt or the Elbtunnel at Hamburg?

Anyone else passing Hamburg on Friday?
I guess more west route for us...

I am on holidays and plan for the moment to travel through the Netherlands north at the coast to Bremerhaven and then via ferry Putgarden to Danemark.
I shall give after the holidays more infos.
Rainer

As posted above, my routing to VIM and back home.

Dear Norbert thank you very much for your advice, because of your advice I have booked a ticket for me and my bike in train traveling from Insburk Austria to Dussoldorf Germany and way back. So the same day the ferry arrives to  Venice I travel to Insburk 350 kms and take the train in the evening.
Bernard and Gilles, I have enquired at the Honda company in Israel about the company’s two year warranty, they said that I can go to any Honda service station in the world and from the frame number they know that the bike is still under warranty and would fix anything that is covered by the warranty.
Still this does not solve having a puncture problem, I have enquired with ADAC it is something like 84 Euro for yearly membership and I do not think it is worth for a 16 days trip. If I do not find a good solution, I shall carry with me front and back inner tubes, tools and hope for the best.
After booking for train from Insburk Austria to Dussoldorf on going to VIM21 I found out that after reaching Dussoldorf I have 7 days to reach VIM21 about 850 Kms. This gives me a plenty of free time. As a 74 years old bikers that love good food, wine, scenery, history and girls. I would appreciate ideas on what to visit and what to do, I started planning the Margurita route but any better ideas are welcome.

Pitch up your tent at Toneburg, Jack. Its an motorcyclist- friendly campsite + hotel in the middle of an medieval castle. Good food and wines too.
I did an article about this place a few years ago.

https://tonenburg.com/home/
The website is unfortunately only available in German, but the owner(s) speak perfect English. And they are also on Booking.com.

From there, you could just follow the Weser river up north.

As a property owner in EU I get various advice notes from UK government web sites. Apart from the possibility of needing an IDP they are also advising that British vehicles may require a vehicle ID badge (GB sticker) and the old EU badge on the number plate won't be adequate. 👍

IDP ???? (German abbreviation for : In den Papierkorb [Into the wastpaper basket]  ;D).

GB sticker is not needed (at the moment, don´t know what will happen after Brexit). The license plat GB or D or ... is enough within Europe, don´t trust your government (Brexit or GB sticker  :-X ).

IDP..... International Driving Permit.
The advice is all listed as "possible" in the increased likelihood of "no deal" BREXIT.

OK, I see.
If there will be a "no deal BREXIT"  a lot of things shall change.
And yes for out of Europe / EU (perhaps Marocco) I have such a IDP and more else such as an International Registration Certificate for my MC or a passport.

If BREXIT should be posponed for - lets say - 3 months or so, your run up- and from VIM is not in jeopardy, Harv. And even when... Riders from Switserland (no EU, ask John) and f.e. Norway (ask Erik) don't need an international drivers license. I could think of one reason why motorists from the UK should. Even after a BREXIT.

I didn't even need an international drivers licence for South Africa, but I got one anyway, just in case (and the Dutch Automobile Club ANWB isn't expensive to get one)

Because after a hard BREXIT (no deal BREXIT) there will be no contracts between UK and EU.

I just booked a room at Hotel Dania in Puttgarden for Thursday to Friday. Anyboday else there? Or at the ferry at 10am on Friday?
Enduranceriders have longer fun.
