AT rider new zealand
« on: March 18, 2017, 10:54:58 »
Greetings from Auckland NZ.  I am a DCT AT rider from auckland. I love my bike and have had it 4 months, done 3000 km.  Mainly used for commuting as DCT is great in gridlocked traffic for filtering and my 45 minute work commute is 15 minutes on the AT.  I also have a 2013 Goldwing which I use for touring.  Looking at trying to import a DCT Crosstourer from Japan as they were never bought into NZ.  I have heard a rumour the ones sold in Japan were were detuned to 110 hp maximum power.  Is this true?  If it is can it be reversed with a 2nd hand ECU?  Regards  Ted

Hi Ted
You might like to contact B W Honda in Auckland, who are the Honda motorcycle distributor for NZ and they will be able to tell you if that is the case. Given them a ring and ask for their technical manager.

I ride a DCT AT as well, owned the CT before that.

Yes it can be reversed with another ECU. I dont know if they are restricted in Japan but here in France they were until this year.

Thank you all very much I really appreciate the advice - especially from Mr Kiwi who knows the local Honda scene better than me. My local shop is looking for me in Japan and I am keen to see what they can find!  Regards  Ted
