hello fellow members, my name is Edward and I'm a Honda enthusiast who is waiting for his 08 XL1000VA; should arrive home next week. I've had an 03 VTR1000F for the past 5 years and I grew so attached to that engine that I had to get a Varadero.
Hope to contribute in this community and greetings to you all...

A warm welcome to our community! In the past, we had a few Varadero riders from Malta as member and as participant to our annual Varadero International Meeting VIM (check VIM section in this forum for details).
Enjoy your bike and our forum!

cheers fellas, I have a trip planned this coming July; from Milan to the mountain passes up north into Switzerland and all the way down to Malta. Hope I get comfortable enough with the bike and installed all the mods in mind by then.

So far I have a Healtech Gear Indicator and Speedo Healer on the way, together with a set of Kreiger manual CCTs. My next in mind are a Booster Plug, BMC Air Filter, brake lines, Hyperpro Combi Spring kit, Givi guards, NGK iridiums. Basically the same treatment my other bikes got.
I like the MIVV carbon exhausts a lot so they are also on my list; but will look around a bit more before i make up my mind.

Love the BMC filter! Got the same. Cheaper than K&N but just as good. But what is a 'speedo healer'?

But what is a 'speedo healer'?
Corrects the speedo reading for different sprocket, tyre or wheel sizes.

Corrects the speedo reading for different sprocket, tyre or wheel sizes.
Also corrects the discrepancies in the factory speedo which read about 10% more than actual.
