Upgrading firmware
« on: March 20, 2021, 21:44:54 »
My at got firmware 2.60. latest official are 3.1 (got android auto).
I'm not able to upgrade. It just tells me that there are no newer firmware available. Is there something I need to do to enable the usb port?

Sorry. I finally managed to upgrade. The problem i was having was that i was too impatient to wait for it to start.

for those who want to upgrade by themselves (and not waiting to their dealer)

PC instructions

Mac Instructions

BUT do NOT format in Mac OS Extended as writed but in FAT (for mac user)
you have to use a thin USB drive or use adaptator ... and as said by Oll wait the upgrade to begin ...

Software link is here

I was quite disapointed with the upgrade, It is quite nice to see the route in the display but after adjusting the music and GPS with Ways, everything stops as I pass a cellphone tower. And have to sincronize things all over. I use thick packtalk Cardo earphones.  After many tries Eventually I got desparate and negelected the upgrade alltogether.

not sure I understand your problem Jack ...
Have you done the upgrade? , do you use Carplay or Android Auto ?
I don't think Cardo is involved
do you want to say cellphone tower has an influence and stops your dashboard?
More then 12000 kms made on mine now and using carplay every time , never had such a problem even when passing under celltowers (and never had heared about such a problem )...

After waiting for more than a year, the Android ungrade arrived to the dealer in Israel. I did the upgrade, but the result was disapointing, either there is something wrong with the upgrade, or I am missing something. Before the upgrade I could share musinc and talk with my companion on the bike. After the upgrade, after adjusting everything, suddenly all adjustements get lost, I think this happens when I pass a cellphone tower. I tried many times but without success. Now I gave up on the Android upgrade and returned to the old system without bike envolvment. Cell phone and Cardo for the driver and the companion on the bike.

My experience riding with CarPlay during these last 11 months is perfect (so just buy an iphone instead your samsung ) ;D  ;D
not heard such a problem on any other forum till the Android upgrade; the deception is only not a navigation software on Android auto (seems only Sygic in beta version )
Try to re-configure everything, both headsets have to be appaired with system, yours as driver, and the other as pillion and you see them on the top left of the dashboard near BT logo, and you have surely one for Android Auto system; as that you have to hear music thru Android Auto system, and not sure you're abble to hear directly thru BT ...
