Spoke with the NZ Honda distributor yesterday. They were hoping to get some demo/press bikes for end of November but this has been delayed due to the official press release not happening until first week of December.

Bikes will not make NZ until the new year.

Hope they get here before our summer disappears...

According to rumours, it's the basic ABSless version (you know, the one that Honda France won't sell

) the one available by the end of year.
By the end of February, the ABS one.
And by the end of May, the DCT equipped one.

This calendar above is for Spain. Countries with stronger currencies or markets could of course be different.

Seems this bike can be a replacement possibility for my Vara. Same max power, same Max torque, 40 kg less ... hope the seat is as comfortable as the previous, and protection as good

Not long now.

I'm surprised to hear the various versions of the bike will be made available on different timelines. This does not match up with my understanding of how modern vehicle production facilities work. Usually all variants are on the same production line at once, utilising just in time logistics to get the right part to the right vehicle at the right stage in the production process as the vehicle progresses down the production line.

I'll guess we'll just have to wait and see how this pans out.

Maybe they have been unexpectedly flooded with orders of DCT, so they take time until they can have a suitable number of units to deliver.

A number of test bikes would come earlier, though.
