2014.05.29 till 2014.06.01 German Varadero Meeting (VDT 2014)

The next German Varadero Meeting (Varadero Deutschland Treffen VDT) will be executed from 29.05.2014 till 01.06.2014 at BAD SÄCKINGEN.

This event is located in the southwest of Germany in the border triangle Germany-France-Switzerland and the organisers will be our group of regulars called "IG-Grenzgänger".

Looking through the bookings of the VDT 2014 I see more than 107 bookings but only from German, Austrian and Switzerland Dero-Riders  .

Whats about the rest of Europe/The World.

Come on give yourself a start those from France, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Netherlands, Poland, Luxembourg, Croatia, Slovenia, Czech Republic, Slovakia and all other countries from where its not so far to GERMANY Bad Säckingen, in the country triangle Germany-France-Switzerland.

They'll be heading to Geiranger, Norway to join VCIM

Rainer, I believe that late spring is high season for motorcycle meetings, and people seem to prefer attending those where they find people they already know and/or whose language they can speak.

This is particularly true, IMO, for large countries.

Certainly, *I* würde gerne in Bad Säckingen mich melden! ('d love to go to Bad S.) I know the area is a very nice one, and I am sure there will be a terrific atmosphere, with a lot of nice people to meet.

Well, *I* have attended only one meeting in my life, one where I knew just two persons in advance, and yet, I had a great time! So I can only recommend the experience to others.

In the meantime, I have asked for attendants to your Treffen in the Spanish forum, but I don't think anyone comes. They have their meeting around these dates, and only one member came to VIM Catalonia 2012.

Yes Josep have posted it also on french forum; just some people from Alsace (East of france) not far, and understanding German seems to be interested .
Our way up to Geiranger is not going far from your meeting; but we don't ride alone; and it seems it is not in our plans ...

Thanks to all of you, thinking about participation and posting the VDT 2014 at their national board.

Perhaps some will find the way. May be some coming from the South visiting the German Meeting and then go straight up to NORWAY to the VCIM 2014. May be.

@ Manne: Sorry but the OrgaTeam only offers rooms at the Hotel or the possibility to join the meeting with a motor caravan.
But I asked them if its possible to join with tent and what the costs will be for the meeting.

In 2013, the Spanish Varadero meeting was in Avila (central Spain), in early June. It was announced in November 2012



Now I realize I read no news about the (alleged) 8th annual meeting, in 2014. Perhaps there's no volunteer orga team?

From 8th to 11th May, our French friends make theirs. If you go, you'll be not the only Brit to attend. 

Or you can do things like rider1000 http://catalunya.rider1000.com/2014/ , 1000 km around Catalonia in one day (17th of May). Inscriptions on 21st February.

For Josepm regarding the Catalan 1,000Km in a day; there is an old Yorkshire story about the old bull and the young bull chewing the grass on a hill. The young bull says 'Let's gallop down there and service one of those heifers each!' and the old bull, chewing thoughtfully replies, 'Nay lad. We'll walk down and service 'em all!'
