any chance of posting the details in English as I tried your website and did not get on too well putting it through an online translater. sounds like somewhere I could come and camp for a few days and join in.

I can´t translate the whole homepage.
Camping is not possible, only if you arrive with a camper.
But single-/double-bedrooms are available.
Ex. a single room (three nights) with half board are 195,-- EUROS.
@Jyrays: The German Meeting is always the long WE at Germans (edit on 26 july) fathers day.

Gilles... even as Amin, please read the 'read this first': if anyone post his national event on this forum, adding an ENGLISH summary is obligatory. English language is after all, the language used in our community so Ubertourer has a valid point.
I am sure Rainer will proceed that way, tnx for sharing VCIF_ThumbUp.
But for me its the wrong direction... I am heading north next year! ;)

I think Gilles did the right answer, we have the technical features to get a whole translation into our mothertongue.
And a (very) short explanation I have given.
Please be informed, I can't (and I won't) translate a whole homepage.
But one important thing I have forgotten at the (very) short explanation, at the VDT´s you have the choice between about 10 guided tours within the 2 complete days at the meeting. This year the center of gravity will be the southern part of the black forest.
If anyone is interested in, I proposed him/her to ask me in detail. So feel free and ask me.
I posted the last 4 years our national events and for all the events about 4 (four) interesting members have answered to the posting at the forum.

The hotel "Am Hochrhein" is a 3 star business hotel on the edge of the spa town of Bad Säckingen on the banks of the Rhine. For the second time after 2014 we are with Michael & Urs guest on the banks of the Rhine in sight for Switzerland.
There are very spacious, modern single, double and triple. We also have 4 suites for 4 people. These suites have spatially separate bedrooms incl. A shared bathroom and living room, and a small kitchen. As an indication of our condition miracle: There is a lift ...
In good weather, which we of course ordered enough, we can let the evenings end in the beer garden or on our 'frontier-Bar "then comfortably.
Even for day visitors and campers fans is sufficiently ensured.
For those who want continue after meeting on holiday, is Bad Säckingen the ideal starting point for trips to Switzerland, Italy, Austria or France.

If I understood you right, you wanna join us for the guided tours at the 2 days, but you wanna do accommodation (tent or what else) by your self?
What's about the meeting at the evenings, ex. BBQ ?

Hey Ladies and Gents,
what's about joining our German National Varadero / Crosstourer / AfricaTwin - Meeting.
All of you coming from the South of EUROPE should stay for few days at BAD SÄCKINGEN before joining the V(C)IM at the beautiful island GOTLAND at SWEDEN.
It's possible regarding the timetable.
