Hi there
I be doing a few different posts I’m going to have this
Back in good shape.

So I have noticed that the forks have rust on them.
I’ve not been out for a test run yet after fixing the engine.

Do you think I can save them?.
Thanks

SB:

The forks will work (for a while) but will eat the seals eventually leading to forks leaking.

Yes that’s what I was thinking.

I was hoping I could
Do something like 1000-1200 wet and dry and
Some wd40 or something to remove it before
It damaged them.

It will rip the seals up
In no time like that.

I’m going to remove them to make it better to
Work on them.

I’m going to have upgrade the springs when I’m at it but
I’m not sure what type are good to go for yet?.👍

zebulon:
you can try 000 steel wool that you will moisten well with WD40 and rub to remove it.

for the springs you can try (progressive) Hyperpro, nice stuff  VCIF_ThumbUp
