Touring Russia - pics and films
« on: September 20, 2013, 06:03:01 »
Me and our forumfriend stahson went for a few days ride in Russia. As usual I came home with about thousend pics and few hours film. Now reduced and hope you enjoy. Sorry for the language, but I think the pics and films are in english?  :)

Amazing Varaderos. stahsons 2007 Varadero had passed 100tkm when we left home. He replaced his second chainkit  day Before leaving.
Also, only thing what has broken on +100tkm is forkseals. Valveclearence is checked and never have to bee adjustet. But, they where closed last time so surely they must be adjusted next time.

Amazing footage again, Saarela! These are the reports which makes this part of the forum so much enjoyable!

And idd... the good old Varadero is a bullet proof and far underrated bike!

Nice pics! Looks like there's a lot to be done yet in Russia...
How about security and prices?

Anyway, nice to learn what "PECTOPAH" signs are  ;D

Greetings,

Josep

Sorry for late answer, been a Little bit of(read on road)

Thanks guys for input.

@JosepM: no probs wth security. Careful as in witch country else in europe. About the prices, except petrol and cigarettes I found Russia compared with example Baltic and Poland expensive.

@Athanman: I get into Russia at Little bit South of Suomussalmi in Finland and into Russia for overnight at Kostamus. Bordering is about directly east from Swedish/Finnish border at North. Lot of paperwork, but we get lucky, there was not much people in the que. 45 minutes only.

Get back at Lappenranta, the second border from south.  Back there are not much paperwork, but there was a long que, Pass the ques and it took about one hour. In a car I´m sure the last one in the que is still there?  :)

Alone we go faster, together we go further

I do not ride fast, I ride far / I'm not lost, I'm just exploring
