Idle FI Vara 2008
« on: June 11, 2014, 03:44:11 »
Hi
I have a 2008 1000 XL vara and I need to know if it is right that it has no idle adjustment lever and the manual that I have says it should have. I was going to sink the the system but find it a bit of a problem when the manual says one thing and there is no way of doing it eg set idle at 1200 -+ 100rpm. also the way it says to adjust the vac is not able to be done as again there is no screw to adjust. any help would be nice.
I have had the unit for about 8 months now and happy with it just would like to be able to touch things up myself from sunny Queensland Australia.

Isn't that what the little black box computer thingy is for?   :-\
I've changed to K&N air filter and aftermarket pipes (like many folks) and the bike adapted on it's own

@bgrex ...are looking at the Haynes manual? Be careful, because it switches to and from the Carb Models and the FI models ...often on the same page
