Freddy, I would like to ask where exactly is one place, where I went a few years ago, which I believe was in Telemark.

I have memories of a valley with perhaps an old power plant, where something had happened in WWII, and, on top of the valley, there was a lake, and a ferry for people who lived in an island in the middle of it (it was easier for them in winter, because they could drive on the ice).

Does this ring a bell?

Thanks,

Josep

You're absolutely right in your memories. The place you're thinking of is the town of Rjukan in Telemark. There is much historical happened there during World War II. There they produced heavy water, which was sought after by our opponents.

I see it mentioned that the actor Kirk Douglas, was in town and it is just right. It was played in a film that also received an Oscar nomination.

I put out a map link so you can see where in Norway this city is.

The lake you mention is also right. It is located on the mountain before the town of Rjukan. It's called Møsvann. Those who live there do not live on an island, but on the mainland. The only way to get there is on the ice in winter, or ferry in the summer.

The last picture is from spring 2013. VaraderoCrosstourer of Norway was visiting at Rjukan and this factory that you talk about

@Meine dicke :
I use 2 pcs Sony HDR as-15 action cam and filmed in "half" HD 720
But next time I go to Norway, I'll bee filming in full HD 1080.
And that next time will be at tha VCIM#16  ;)
So I hope that many off you guys will be court on my cameras, so I can make a nice video, of curse with English text  ;D

@Skye:
I don't think I have saved the files, but I will check my PC later and then maybe erase the Swedish text and replace it with English  ;)

Jokern,

tks for your answer. I looked for this cam in www.

My question is now, because I can't find an answer:

How many minutes you can take on the maximum storage (which I read in www as 32 GB SDHC-card) in which resolution (HD 720 and HD 1080).

@Meine Dicke

Madero started a camera thread, ask the question there. It is easier to have all questions about cameras in a thread just for camera questions

Well, since Jokern have started with videos and it was so rainy going up Trollstigen that day..

@skye. Great video of Trollstigen but I had to turn off the soundtrack. Personally I would rather hear the engine than the popcorn music, especially on a fast climb like that. Maybe stick a mic on the top box to catch it better from your exhausts?

Yes, I'm aware of that. If I only use the internal mike it sounds terrible. A tickering sound depending what RPM it is in the engine. which can be heard and of course wind. Jokern has put in an external mike between the loudpipes.

Have to drill a hole in the housing of the camera and find a solution to line the cable along the bike.
This one is recorded in Half HD and my son loves the popcorn music, especially the Varadero track in the middle ;)
