Temporary cruise control desactivation

Hello friends

my AT 1100 DCT is my first ever cruisecontrol equipped vehicle. So be indulgent with my perhaps naive conclusions 

I realised that a "temporary cruise control desactivation" may be quite harsh, specially for a pillion who doesn't expect it.

I found out that the best way IMO to do so is not explained in the manual.
So that's how I do it:
-pull the throttle, like accelerating a bit (no effect on actual speed)
-hit the gear flap, like you'd do to put 7th gear
-release throttle as gently as desired, because now you have resumed total control.

I find this manoeuver to be quick and instinctive, better that braking or any other of the ways to "switch the SET off"

I do something similar with may Tiger 900. Disengaging the Cruise control with a closed throttle can be a bit abrupt (even without a pillion).

I just roll on a bit of throttle and then tap either the font or rear brake lever/pedal. The brakes don't need to come on, activating the brake light disengages the cruise control.

Yes, I used to do it this way.

According to AT's manual, pulling the clutch lever also disengages the CC. But it says nothing about the flaps of my DCT.

Apparently, if I try to engage "7th", there is some sort of activation of the clutch somewhere inside that disengages the CC.

What it is left to try for a manual box is whether you disengage CC by gently pulling the clutch lever a bit.
