XL1000 1999 model - various items for sale
(1/1)
Lucky Strike:
Hi all,
After ten pleasurable years of ownership I recently sold my XL1000 1999 :(
Going through my garage I have the following items for sale which may be of interest to forum colleagues. All prices exclude postage and packaging, but I think the prices are 'forum friendly' :) If you are interested in anything, let me know and I will price postage to your country.
Photos of everything listed below are available here https://photos.app.goo.gl/bbz7mq2mEFVWfUeQA
Any questions, just ask!
Thanks.
# Left side OEM pannier. Very good condition. Comes with key for lock. For more info see https://www.cmsnl.com/honda-xl1000v-varadero-1999-x-european-direct-sales_model6475/partslist/08L5501.html#.XSr5J-hKiuV 40 euro
# Air filter, aftermarket. Brand new, unopened. Purchased from Dave Silver. Same as item here https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/XL1000VX-VARADERO-1999/part_44603/ 10 euro
# Full set of genuine Honda brake pads. Still in original packaging, unopened. At least 130 euro new. See the prices here https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/XL1000VX-VARADERO-1999/ 70 euro
# Set of used cush drive rubbers. https://www.davidsilverspares.co.uk/XL1000VX-VARADERO-1999/part_25811/ Maybe some life in them for someone? Will throw in with another item if purchasing...
# Full wiring loom, which I bought second hand. Only used the piece shown in separate picture. 25 euro
# OEM pannier inserts, black. Brand new. 20 euro
# Original Shop Manual. A really excellent book to have, exceeds Haynes in usefulness. Used, but totally usable. 20 euro
# Haynes manual. The odd oil stain, but in excellent condition. 10 euro
# Full set of used genuine Honda brake pads. Still a lot of life on them, possibly of interest to someone? 10 euro
# Front fork springs. Not sure what brand, possibly original. At recommended manufacturer length (see pictures and specs from Haynes manual). They worked perfectly when fitted, only reason I changed them out was because I was changing the rear shock so decided to upgrade both ends at the same time. 20 euro
# Bagster tank cover. Good condition. A new version can be seen here https://www.ebay.ie/itm/Bagster-Tank-Protector-Cover-1384A-Honda-Varadero-XL-1000-V-1999-2006/401403276140?hash=item5d757feb6c:g:lr8AAOSwkVZZ4-NP 60 euro
I also have an Ohlins rear shock, with maybe 12,000 kms ridden on it. In excellent condition. A real treat for the Varadero, completely changed my perspective on the bike and my confidence in its handling. I brought it in from the USA and it cost me in or around 1,000 euro. Maybe that included the front springs as well. I'll dig out receipts and send photos/PM anyone who is interested. I'd need a decent offer for it, in fairness.
OK, thanks folks. I'm sorry I never made it to a VIM during my ten years! I always work June. Maybe when I retire I'll travel on my XL600V! (Definitely not parting with her!)
All the best,
Lucky.
