Sorry for side track but I continue with others...

When I went to DDR 1989 with CB1100 biggest bikes for east Germans were MZ 250 and police had MZ 350 to be faster. My Honda was faster than any of them in second gear  VCIF_salut only problem was to find over 90 oct fuel...

Later they sold the factory to Turkey where the production continued under name of Kanuni...

No worries about the side track, this is quite educational. That's the beauty of forums like these.

And to side track the side track back to the main, but not exclusive, topic, Bernard sent me some pictures over night of Red post her service.

She has had her eyes put on and her sense of direction installed  VCIF_2757

The eyes have it

As for her sense of direction, the age old conversation of which GPS is better continues. The TomTom Rider 450 has been chosen for this little beauty

Red's manager took her out for a spin last night and he reports those new eyes are pretty good for night time riding. I normally add LED's to my bikes for daytime running, not night use. However, the lights on the 600 Transalp are a bit soft.

With no LED's on, just headlights

Headlights plus LED's.

Yes, zebulon, settings are not quite right. Between Bernard and I we'll get it sorted. Cheers...

We will. When I did the test last Teusday in the national park, I was chased by a forrester who thought I was a light poacher and on the motorway home, a 747 tried to land on me!  😂☀☀☀

Today I begin my trek north, driving to Auckland for a few days of meetings. I spent the weekend sorting and packing gear, hopefully I have not left anything behind.

So it is goodbye to my wife and family for seven weeks.  See you all soon...
