I don't understand why people constantly want to be connected with their mobil phone.

Personally I go driving with the AT (forenzen excluded) to free my mind and to enjoy my journey, not to be bothered with anything else.

If you consider you can have others things then calling with your phone, but guiding, meteo , traffic etc it can be helpful; I've ride some tracks this summer not knowing if it will be good or not (duo and luggages) and happy to follow on Maps with sat picture on my screen ...

Yes I've ride bikes with out fuel injection , without brake disk, without radial tires, with poor lights, without screen etc ... but easier now ...  ;)

That's true but for me - I rather have it the old fashioned way.
I'll take things as they come. Even my garmin navigation is on 'mute'.

PS: people say I was born old ;)

I also have my Garmin on mute...

Of take routes unknown, just destination West for example. You can find amazing new places. Even we ride here in SLO with locals they are amazed where we go, without knowing what to expect. Sometimes we hit death end, often gravel but it's part of it...

I have been riding bikes without EFI, even without electric starters... it will be fine to kickstart 650 cc single with high compression ratio  :P Sometimes my service guy called me because he couldn't start it  ::)

Whether I am in a car or on my bike, the GPS is always on mute too. Visual directions is all I need.

I ride my bike so people cannot ring me on my phone. It is my escape from work and all the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

You can mute your phone when you don't want to be disturbed, but it is also good excuse to ride more  8)
