Note. There are two engine oil drain plugs on the Africa twin.
- Engine Oil Filter: Honda Part 15410-MFJ-D01 (K&N 204 or 204c)
- DCT Clutch Oil Filter: Honda Part 15412-MGS-D21
- Engine oil plug washer: Honda Part 94109-12000 (2 required)
- Tool Oil Filter Wrench: 07HAA-PJ70101
- Engine drain plug Torque: 30 NM (3.1 kgf-m 22lbf-ft)
- Engine Oil Type: SAE 10-W30
- Manual Gearbox Engine Oil volume: 4.1L (4.3 US/qt 3.6 Imp/qt) (complete oil drain and filter change)
- DCT Transmission Engine Oil volume: 4.2L (4.4 US/qt 3.7 Imp/qt (complete oil drain and filter change)
Engine Oil Level Check (From Honda Manual)
- Place bike on side-stand
- Start and allow to idle 3-5 minutes
- Stop Engine and wait 2-3 minutes
- Remove Dipstick and clean
- Hold bike upright on level ground
- Insert Dipstick until it seats (but do not screw in)
- Remove Dipstick and check oil level - should be between upper and lower level lines.
- Remove Oil Filler cap and top up if required
- Engine Oil Type: SAE 10-W30
