Your solutions for a happy butt ?
« on: August 28, 2017, 09:25:00 »
So to me for my rides around switzerland, which are something around 4-5 hours, the saddle is great.
Now after my Norwegian vacation, 5300Km with some days of 7-10h riding, my butt was just dying,
so what are you guys doing to keep your hiney happy ?

All big money for a saddle. On my previous Varadero (and on mr Kiwi's Transalp) I had the saddles redone @ a local car upholstery. Custom made to your wishes (f.e including a gell path underneath the cover), for pocket money and within an eye blinc of the time!

Mighty Whites saddle is scheduled @ my local car uphostery workshop next winter. Just google and you will be supriced what you can find just around the block!  VCIF_ThumbUp

Yep, I can vouch for what Two Plugs is saying. The saddle on my transalp was transformed and the price was really good. excellent value for money.

Still (far) to expensive Zebulon. And with all do respect... This topic is not mend to become a Sellerie Briant commercial.

We know Sellerie and that they do deliver quality, but for Mr. Kiwi's saddle I paid pennies compared to 'our special conditions'.
Again: Google on your local car upholstery company and have a chat what they can do for you. You will be amazed!  ;)

See Mr. Kiwi's review above, he spend over 6.500 km in that saddle within 5 weeks time.  VCIF_ok

I'm using a beaded pad to cover my seat.

For me it's very comfortable and it has 2 super advantages:
  • Your crotch doesn't get wet when driving in the rain
  • In hot summer conditions you get a nice cooling airflow on the same crotch

For a different mix of advantages, try sheepskin - comfy, plus:
  • In cold winter conditions your crotch is warmer
  • In hot summer conditions you get a nice cooling airflow on the same crotch
  • If it rains you're screwed x2 :(

Where did you order one? I can only find webshops in USA and Canada.
