I've got about 1000 Kms on my new PR4T so far and they seem just fine. Currently on a road trip with major twisty time coming up for the next three days.. That'll tell the tale.

;D

I had a lot of fun and confidence doing the twisties in Norway for the last two weeks on my PR3. I guess you won't be disappointed with these PR4's
Based on this experience my new tyres certainly will be pr4!

Well, I have just order a set of Michelin Pilot Road 4 Trail tires €225 (Reasonable?)

As expected, my rear tyre suffered a lot driving 4000 km. fully packed through Norway. So I searched for a set of new rubber.

Just recieved an offer for a set PR4 Trail : € 305,= !
 :o

From another dealer I recieved a message that there is a Michelin deal this weeks with free fitting/balancing and a €30,= cashback for a complete set.
A new set of PR3t will then cost me €275 - €30 = €245,=

Just sent them an email to ask for an offer for PR4t's

When the PR4's proves to be too expensive I'll stick to PR3's. May then even consider to replace only my rear tyre. My front tyre can still do some distance.

Just checked the greatest tyre supplier on the internet:

Set PR3T : €232,=
Set PR4T : €242,10

Delivered free. Fitting/balancing do it yourself  ::)

Ordered a set of PR4's for a total price of €305,= (incl fitting/balancing)

With the Michelin Cash-back deal I will get €30,= paid back by Michelin (if all works well).
(Cash back works only on PR4 and not on PR3!)

So in the end I will be on brand new rubber for €275,=.
Not a bad deal for the latest Michelin development  ;D

my new set of pilot road trail 4's covered 4700 miles on VCIM norway trip. went to nordkapp via Norway, Sweden ,Finland, Norway. then home via Denmark. a lot of fast straight roads squared them a bit, but still plenty of life left in them. also used them to visit a mate in a cabin, via a gravel road for 7 miles, then a hard packed mud trail through the forest for 2 miles, crossing small streams, & a few inclines. worked very very well. a bit dearer than others, but would definately buy another set... recommended..

With some 4 weeks delay ( my dealer did not read my order I sent him by email four weeks ago. In fact he never reads his emails at all  >:( ) I finally got my new rubber! They look great and I'm sure that I'm gonna like these PR4's  ;D

Thanks for sharing
The trail in the video could a useful point of reference i.e. What tyres would you use for this trail?

Personally, that is the type of trail I would expect to handle with the Varadero (I have Anakee 3) but wouldn't want anything more than that trail (or in the wet!)

Today I could also see my new set.
In a few days they'll be holding us to the ground on our way to England!

I hope they're not just a case of hype  ;D

My PR4T tyres have 6000 km now.
Good grip on dry, as well as in the rain we found in three different occasions. As a matter of fact, my front wheel slid some cm sideways on a wet metal lid, but that was all.

Now they are beginning to be worn, and I notice that they behave as if they lacked pressure until they have the right temperature. But perhaps they DO lack pressure, as I haven't checked it at all.  ;)

In short, I like them more than their BattleWing forerunners.

Greetings,

Josep

I  assume that when i will decide to feet a pair of new tires i will once again choose contis trail attack 2. Confidence from the first meter since you begin your trip in all terain circumstances, wet or dry .

Very interesting comments. I was very pleased with my Battle Wings on the V8 and I have had some 'strange'  experiences  even when 'up to temperature' with the new PR3 Ts so I will follow closely the opinions.
