Anyone got a labour saving, ingenious way of cleaning wheels and spokes ? Takes longer to do them than washing the whole bike ! Must be an easier way.

degreasing Or WD 40 before HP and soap , but everybody who have seen my wheels knows it was rarely perfect

of course it's necessary until I get the right place to post it, being my first post.  If it bothers you, don't read it. If you have a trick way to clean the wheels, lets hear it.  Being Scottish I tend to say it as it is, so spit it out.

think I should hire a wheel/spoke cleaner. I really hate cleaning them,  my hand gets stuck.  lol

Zebulon awnsered your Q with a proposed solution in posting #2...
But how can spokes get greasy on a Crosstourer?  You have the benefit of a shaft drive in stead of chain & sprockets.

I've used carb cleaner on all my bikes. Doesn't hurt the paint and will take off road tar, bugs, chain lube, pretty much anything.
The Honda brand spray cleaner is also really good stuff for cleaning your wheels and the rest of the bike - removes all of the above.

I cleaned my rims in about 1 minute with Dasty



Very cheap, but does the trick perfectly. Just rinse it off properly afterwards, as it can be aggressive (of course it is, it works... )
