Our first rides on France#208
« on: April 29, 2016, 20:30:55 »
Yeah it's called like that ... it's the 208th French @T, and it's on the Tripmaster

1st trip  for the day, duo towards the Cevennes, we chose small twisty roads, test the suspensions

1 pass and already rain; slowly on the D610 deemed not hold in the wet

The sun came back to drink coffee at Madrières but the end of the Gorges of the Vis are closed following the Cevennes episode from September ...  (big rain & floods)

So Navacelles by the other side and Montdardier and its castle (remembering of Pre-vim trip ;) )

Then it's col du Minier (must! and Vcim tour by the other side)

And last weekend towards the Ardèche; we redid the gorges, it's been a while

Still so great

and majestic

I can not tell you where it is (sure you know); there's not too canoe this time

The next day, a few passes scheduled but then 4° and it is down to 1°C; we change our plan and went to visit the Chauvet Cave; and we will return to finish the road books ...

It's beautiful,( I think)

The ruins of Borne jump to the mouth

The next big wind and less cold (just 10 °), picturesque villages and beautiful roads

A small coffee at Largentières

Picnic, 1000 kilometers are done

La Garde-Guérin

Your country remains as beautiful as usual.  :)
It's been too long since we've been there (9 months)  ;)

BTW. What's the result of the suspension check?  :)

Regards,

Josep

Perfect for instance, you're like on a flying carpet, a real difference with Varadero, certainly due to high clearance. Even on bumps you like in France  ;D

Isn't that new CRF1000 Africa Twin a great looking bike?  VCIF_ThumbUp

But: it was even in our 8PM weather forecast: snow and 4+ Celsius in the south of France, and 15+ on the North Cape and Finland... Climate is going slightly mad...

Ardèche is not really south FRANCE for us  ;D ( sure not far) . When come back on Monday we have 22 •C . Still have these days 20 to 23.  Perfect weather for riders. I have to assume we have suffered... Because unforeseen such a weather...  :-\

Nice pics. BTW good luck with those spokes.

They are not tangential because of tube type, so do not think we have any problem  VCIF_salut

If I look at your ODO, I see that you use 5,2 L/100km.
This is a reach of 18,8 / 5,2 * 100 = 362 km and then the tank is really empty.
Isn't it a very little reach if I compare it with my Dero which runs 100 km more till end of fuel  VCIF_ok

We know tank is smaller then Varadero, and also consumption ; so wait and see when running will be totally finished. I fill tank for instance at around 300km; I did around 300/350 on the VARA , so no noticeable difference. Note I ride a lot duo with luggages and turning roads needing boost ! ;)
