Funny thing my dealership sent an invite to a course, apparently Honda partnered with a moto school where I live and they do this course
only for Africa twins, you can't attend if you don't have one so I guess sales must have been good in Switzerland.

I was wondering, I still have the OEM Dunlops lying around, did they do well off road so that I could reuse them for this course ? because
my Conti TA2 have barely 8000km on them, so don't really want to invest on brand new TKC70 if the Dunlops could do the work !

I remember OEM Dunlop was bad on wet roads, so do not tried them on off road sessions , but not sure about their traction possibility! Sure TKC make a good job, but you can try less expensive equipments ( as Mitas) if you want/need .  VCIF_salut

Honestly I researched the prices and overall it's something like 167CHF for a Mitas E-10 Dakar set, that's the cheapest set I found to compare a TKC70 set is 200CHF,
but the E-10 are overkill for me anyway, there's no way I'll ride such tires as I'm mainly on road.

Problem is I can't change tires myself, I have no equipment and never done it so I need to go to a dealership, which will basically charge 100CHF so in the end maybe I
should learn to do this myself, any tips or advice on that !?

You can perhaps try E-07 instead of E-10 surely more comfortable  VCIF_salut and if you are not far from France come to change your tires here; I pay 30€/34CHF to change my set ...  VCIF_ok

Seems combo E07 rear/ E10 or TKC80 front Is appreciate over-ocean ...

I am also very happy with MITAS E07 and  E07 plus rear tires.

I will try other front tires this year.

buttcrack to be grasping at my boxers when on road riding  :P.

Have a look at the new Michelin Anakee Adventure tire. Not that extreme as the Mitas, but a good 'in between'.



Continental TKC70 would be my 2nd recommendation.

Well TKC in Switzerland happen to be the most expensive tires, I used some in Norway they were great, only problem with them or ta2 they square pretty bad with my heavy right hand, so if I can test something else than Continental.

I thought of the anakees, they are in the cheaper tires, but with the brand new Metzeler karoo street out, I'd prefer trying brand new tires tech than old anakees.
