Good looking gear, that's a lot of bike!

I just noticed you have the HISS?
I know there are some differences between Europe and North American models, e.g. LED indicators and wiring, but didn't know the HISS was still used. It's not on my AT.
I wonder if it will be a potential problem as on the Varadero?

It would be interesting to hear Honda's reasons for this.

If a bike is going to be used in a mainly urban environment then the occasionally having to switch off and on to  start the bike is annoying but the extra security (and cheaper insurance) is worth it.
But if the bike is going to be used in a wilderness environment then any possibility of it not starting could be a major issue.

zebulon

Do not remember but yes I had some HISS problem (on my first or second Varadero) but as we can start the bike anyway, it was never a big problem ... ( think it was pressing start button before turning the key)
Perhaps Europe is more dangerous then North America for the bikes ?  8)
Never had or ear of AT's HISS problem (40 000 kms)

Correct, I frequently have to do this on the Vara, but I think this was related to the crankshaft position widget and the HISS was simply broken wires (?)

Insurance & HISS, ...maybe I do live in the wilderness!

Also, I noted your rectangular tool box (not the usual tube!) Any link to the supplier? Maybe I can get some more weight on the left side  ;)

FYI:  On the AT I use my old SW Motech 37L top box and 45 litre "left" side case from my Varadero but obviously had to buy the right side 37L case and panniers etc. So, I saved some money... but bought a Corbin seat with red trim and stitching ...excellent :)   ...also transferred the LED lights, and hardwired (relay/fusebox) the GPS, heated grips and a 12v outlet as well as a taller screen. Have a set of TKC70 ready for next year
Just waiting for the snow to arrive.... it's already below the tree line on the mountains and well below zero C

Cheers

You have the answer in the post: it's the Spanish DS Bike company toolbox (some difficulties to mount it - and on the site to buy)
