Little DIY trick

Last autumn, shortly after I bought my AT, I parked her too close to a pole. The front left indicator hit it and something was broken inside. The part that holds the bulb and the other thing together. Something here

I was rather angry, because as far as I remembered, all my previous Honda trail bikes had more flexible indicators...

I used duct tape for a provisional solution, like this




Months went by and the provisional solution stood. So I didn't bother to get a replacement for the broken part.
But then, in the first week of July, as my wife and I were somewhere in a motorway near Paris, because of the heat weakening the glue and/or the air pressure at motorway speeds, thing is that the bulb slid and I suddenly found myself with a hanging indicator.

I am the man who needs instructions to operate a screwdriver, you know,... I stopped in the first services area and bought duct tape. They just had sets of three rolls, two black one red. In order to reinforce the rear part, I got one of these wooden forks they sell for food.
My wife suggested to use the red duct tape, to combine with the colors of the bike. So here was (and is to this day) the result





I know that the replacement is cheap, but for the moment I am not planning to replace my exclusive asymmetric set of indicators.
