Hello Everybody

Anne-Gro and I are very pleased to welcome all members of this forum to the 25th VIM.
It will take place at Straand hotel in Vrådal in beautiful Telemark situated in southern Norway.

We have visited the place a couple of times, and next week we will make another visit to get even better known with the area, the hotel and it's manager.

First - the teaser.
Paal Anders Ullevaalseter is Norway's most famous biker.
He has made an advertisement video for the Straand Hotel.



Our plan is that in the future you will find all the information you need on this page - we hope.
But - you can start with the hotel's own website which is quite informative.

Well - Norway is well-known as an expensive country.
The Norwegian currency is currently very low, and that means it's cheaper for you to come here than it is for Norwegians to visit you.
We hope that you will not be scared when the prices are announced.

Please do not book hotel rooms yourselves. We are in the process of negotiating special prices, and we will collect all payments and transfer to the hotel.

I already had a look at the ferries and hotels along my way to and back of VIM25.
Not easy at the moment, most of the the accos along the route didn´t have an offer online.
BUT I shall arrive ....

I don't think the Norwegian prices can shake us down, we were just in Switzerland for 2 weeks.
We are looking forward to Vim 25.

Prices have gone crazy even in Poland - it is an international trend.

Dear all.

When we visited the VIM25 hotel first time, i put a few pictures of cottages and camping on our WhatsApp group.
I was sure that the hotel also owns the cottages and camping.
Well - they don't.
Last weekend we stayed there again, and we discovered that cottage rental and camping is a competitive neighbour.
However - the hotel has "family rooms" or "two floors demi suites" where 4 or 5 people can stay together.
This will be a lot cheaper than "normal" rooms.

The manager also told me that tenters may stay beside the beach bar situated 300 meters from the hotel.
The beach bar area belongs to the hotel.
There are toilets and electricity available.
