Thank you Gilles for a wonderful weekend.
I arrived today back at home safe and sound.
I apologise that being unwell for the weekend meant I could not contribute to the party atmosphere as is usually the case of the British.
It was really good to see you all, old friends and new.

Lianne, Richard, Lidy and the Blacksmith arrived home this evening at 20.00 h.
the kids went to their own home and mum and dad sitting on the couch with a strong coffee.
After VIM we made trips to the Cevennes, Camargue, Ales, and surrounding Avignon, than home via the Black Forrest to notice that that tall other VIM member has eaten all the Asparagus. But we have his wine as ransom.
We want to thank everyone for another marvelous VIM and special Michelle and Gilles for all their effords and the very nice French touch.

See you all again sooner or later!

I left the campsite in Nant at around 11 and went the about 300 km of small roads to Le Camping Moto near Crest. There I met Bent, a friend from home, who had been to something in The Nederlands and now were on his way to a GoldWing-meeting in Aosta in Italy  ;D. My plan was to go to Gorges Du Verdon on Tuesday and then up in the Alps. But looking at the forecast they didn´t promise the best weather in the Alps and at the place I´d planned to have the next accommodation it was only 0 degress at night... and I didn´t bring my winter-sleepingbag  ;D And, as we both needed to digest all the impressions we´d had until now too, we both desided to stay at Le Camping Moto until Wednesday.
As I had to be at home in good time for a 4 x 50 year birthday party Saturday, I had to plan otherwise. So, using Tuesday on Le Camping Moto, there were no plan in going south now, so on Wednesday we left, Bent for Aosta and I north to Villa Lövenherz (a bikers meeting place), near Kasel in Germany, around 1100 km that day. I arrived at 21:30, got a room up under the roof, drink a couple of beers in the bar and went to bed. I´d desided to rent the room for two nights, as I came late and didn´t want to leave already the next morning. Thursday I took a look at the town, Lauenförde/Beverungen, not much to tell, and had some beers in the bar in the evening as 7 danes came along. Today I left Villa Lövenherz at 9, the forecast said clouded with some rain, but it wasn´t until I crossed the border to Denmark it started to rain... this it did until I was home at 18:30, 700 km today.

9 days and 4620 km in all.

On 242,73 liters of fuel, which gives an average consumption of 19,03 km/l., or 5,25 l/100km.  ;D
